Sometimes, getting out the door to do something active just feels like too...much...work. Especially in the winter. And especially when we’re still living in a pandemic. But if you’re starting to feel antsy, here are 3 super easy ways to move your body without actually putting in very much effort:
The Scientific 7-Minute Workout. This is an old favorite, based on the science of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). With a HIIT workout, you get the benefits of a longer training session in a very short burst of exercise. All you need is your body, a chair, and willingness to be in pain tomorrow.
Yoga more your speed? Here’s a 6-minute yoga session with Deandre Sinette of Alo Yoga. (It’s for kids, but we won’t tell if you do it, too.)
Dance break! This one is up to you. Put on your family’s favorite jams and get to it. Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, and other streaming services also offer ready-to-shimmy playlists you can dial up in seconds.
